The long-awaited expansion for the 2020 role-playing game returns Reeves’ character, Johnny Silverhand, along with Idris Elba as Solomon Reed in a new district of Night City, Dogtown. CD Projekt - and special guest star Keanu Reeves - announced the date at Sunday’s Xbox Showcase. For the most part, Cyberpunk 2077's bosses have all been humans, but it looks like that precedent may be changing with the release of Phantom Liberty, and it could easily make for the game's most challenging battle yet.Cyberpunk 2077’s first and only campaign expansion, Phantom Liberty, will launch on Sept. The teaser provided a glimpse at what might be one of the expansion's most formidable bosses - a towering, tank-like mech, which ambushes V and Myers as they look to escape an underground facility. Phantom Liberty could bring back the hardest boss from Cyberpunk 2077, but it doesn't look like it'll be necessary. The trailer also features the long-awaited vehicle combat update, which will let players engage in non-scripted shootouts while driving. Such a skill lends itself towards stealth-centric missions, possibly requiring V to tail agents or to investigate scenes for information. Perhaps most fascinatingly, V and other characters will have the ability to conceal their identity by donning a cyber-mask of sorts, seamlessly taking on the appearance of another person's face. Were expecting to see a much more substantial look at the long-awaited Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty at Summer Game Fest later today, but it seems even CD Projekt cant wait for the event - the companys own GOG storefront has leaked the price for the DLC. Phantom Liberty will be introducing some thrilling new mechanics, too.
